Donationer kan göras genom Rotary Foundation / Katrina Relief Fund (TRF-DAF) |
| Upprop från DG Stu Vance i D 6820 (New Orleans med omnejd)! From: District Governor Stu Vance, D-6820 August 31, 2005 Fellow Rotarians: We have been fielding requests for where to send donations most all day. Many want to send contributions that will go directly to benefit the people who suffered from Katrina's wrath, rather than sending monies to large charities that put all donations into their general funds. Our plan is simple. We will send this to club presidents in the hardest hit areas as communications permit. This is a joint effort between Rotary Districts 6820 and 6840. Mail donations to: Rotary Katrina Fund Bill Simmons, District Treasurer 627 Sherwood Road Starkville MS 39759 More information about how we will handle donations: Guidelines for Requests for District Funds Please understand that these guidelines are an attempt at responsible distribution of funds received by Rotarians and others. | Dear fellow Rotarians There are over 50,000 evacuees being housed in shelters spread across Louisiana, not counting those in private homes, hotels, etc., Our schools have been opened to the evacuated children. We're staying VERY busy. There is destruction and chaos in the hard hit areas. Yes, there was and continues to be an element of evil. There always is in any given Your continued support will help us through this. PDG Marguerite Constantine |
